Gary Nicholls is entering his 16th year as head coach at BHAC and has been instrumental in the program‘s growth and expansion. He has previously been the head coach of the JV Girls tennis team at Groves High School and head coach of both the Boys and Girls teams at Berkshire Middle School. He coached the Varsity Boys and Girls teams at Farmington High School for six years before retiring in 2013 to be a soccer dad. Retirement lasted until he helped Groves by coaching the Varsity Girls team for the 2014 season, and then assisted with the Groves JV Boys team during the fall of 2015. He is a certified instructor through the U.S. Professional Tennis Association and has been a USTA member since 1989.  Gary is also the league director for the entire NOCSSL.

Tom “TK” Kuskowski is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) as a teaching professional. This year will mark TK’s 16th year coaching the Juniors Program and youth clinics at BHAC.  TK also runs adult programs for BHAC members which includes the women’s Intra-Club tennis league, twice weekly ladies drill & play clinics, and weekly men’s drill & play clinics.   During the spring and fall tennis seasons, TK coaches the Varsity Girls and Boys teams at Farmington High School. 

Jamie Nicholls played tennis for 8 years at BHAC before becoming a BHAC coach in 2018. Her career at BHAC included several doubles championships. Jamie also worked as an assistant coach at Berkshire for the girl’s team. She played 4 years of varsity soccer at Groves, but when she enrolled at Adrian College, she decided to walk on to the tennis team and is now playing singles for them. Jamie returns again to BHAC this summer and is looking forward to a great season!

Jocelyn Smith has been a member of the BHC for years practicing under her coach Robert Hall Jr. She has worked as an assistant coach the summer of 2020 with Mr. Hall in his program called Doubles Made Easy or DME. Jocelyn attended Mercy High school where she was captain of JV freshman year and then moved up to varsity for the next 3 years. Jocelyn is a current student at Adrian College where she plays 3 doubles. Jocelyn is looking forward to doing what she loves, while teaching others. Jocelyn returns to BHAC this summer and is looking forward to a great season!
